Daniel Carpenter, of Ada, re- ceived his Eagle Scout during a ceremony Feb. 19 at First Meth- odist Church in Ada. Daniel is an eighth grader at Ada Junior High School and a member of BSA Troop 13. The troop is led by Don Carpenter and Dr. John Garber. Daniel's Eagle Scout project Joe Jett Blackwell Joe and Aaron Blackwell, of Ringling, Okla., are proud to announce the birth of their son, Joe Jett Blackwell. He was born at 12:02 p.m., December 21, 2011 at the Chickasaw Na- tion Medical Center, Ada, Okla. Jett weighed 8 lbs., 12 oz., and measured 19 inches at birth. Proud grandparents are Tony and Staci Apala and Tim and Terri Blackwell, all of Ringling, and Danny and Tammy Stewart of Lone Grove, Okla. He is the great-grandson of Stan and Betty Lach, of Ring- ling, Patsy Brooks, of Lone Grove, Cozell Blackwell, Dell and Deanna Johnson, all of Ringling, the late Tommy Apa- la, the late Frank Brooks, the late Lana Blackwell and the late Wayne and Karen Hobbie. Dauson Eli Harris Dauson Eli Harris was born December 23, 2011 at 4:57 a.m. He weighed 6 lbs., 13.5 oz. and measured 19 1/2 inches at birth. He is the son of Casey and Rebecca Harris, of Ripley, Miss. He is the grandson of Delton Crutchfield and Lori Crutch- field, of Blue Mountain. Miss., and Ruth and Ken Harris, of Ripley. He is the great-grandson of Ola M. Reddinger-Wolf, of Ada, Okla., and Martha Greer, of Falkner Miss. He is welcomed by his two older brothers, Jack Harris and Kyson Harris. Brody Kale Noland Happy birthday to Brody Kale Noland who turned one year old Feb. 28, 2012. He cel- ebrated his birthday with a "Bear" theme party at Davis' Family Park. He is the son of Bronson and Angela Noland. He has an older brother, Braydon Kole Noland. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Daugherty, of Marietta, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Jim Noland, of Davis, Okla., and Marilyn Cleveland, of Sul- phur, Okla. Connor York Texas cager named to UIL All-Tourney Team AUSTIN, Texas – A Chicka- saw high school athlete was recently named to the All-Tour- nament Team at the Texas Uni- versity Interscholastic League (UIL) Basketball Champion- ships. Connor York, a senior at Ar- All Nations Powwow set for April 7 at ECU' Kerr Dome in Ada gyle (TX) High School, was one of five players selected follow- ing Argyle's 3A State Basketball Championship. Argyle defeated Corpus Christi Miller, 44-33 in the final. He is the son of Zac and Charleen Ream, of Alva, Okla. He is the grandson of Chuck and Jeannie Rosson, of Willcox, Ariz., and Mark and Wallecia Ream, of Alva. Loksi) was born December 26, 2011 at Roseville, Calif. He weighed 8 lbs., 6 oz., and mea- sured 21.5 inches at birth. His beaming parents are So- nia and Claro Soto. Turtle is the first grandchild of Isabel Dillingham Johnson, originally from McMillan, Okla. He is the great-grandson of Florene Porter Dillingham and the great-great-grandson of Robert Fulton Porter, an origi- nal enrollee. Daniel Carpenter Chickasaw student completes Eagle Scout A Chickasaw junior high school student has recently at- tained the top rank in the Boy 13 second-half points, includ- ing two consecutive three- pointers. Connor was a three-year starter for Argyle and was also a two-time Academic All-Stater. Connor is the son of Greg and Suzanne York. He is the grandson of Patrick Wyers, of Fort Worth, Texas. Julia Pringle Chickasaw gymnast records top score NORMAN, Okla. - A young Chickasaw gymnast recently registered the top all-around score at an Oklahoma City gymnastics meet. Julia Pringle took first place in the age 10 and over, Level 4 all-around competition at the Star Invitational Winterfest gymnastics meet in Norman. Julia took first in bars and vault, and second in beam and floor events. Of the 70 gymnasts compet- ing, Julia earned the highest all-around score. Julia is a fifth grader at Coronado Heights Elementary School. She is active in basket- ball and track. She is the daughter of Amy Pringle; granddaughter of Ethan Norris, and great-grand- daughter of Bourland Norris, all Chickasaws. entailed Daniel educating all first graders at Homer Elemen- tary School in how to use the 911 emergency system. The students practiced using 911 by using a 911 voice simulator provided by State Farm Insur- ance. Daniel is the son of Don and Dex Carpenter, of Ada. Dan- iel's two brothers, Chris and Jeff Carpenter, are also Eagle Scouts.
