Delaware North Companies – Bos- ton (DNC-Boston), owner and operator of the TD Garden, had commissioned Wessling Archts. to design the new roofi ng system. Both owner and architect selected Shawmut Design and Construction as general contractor and Shawmut hired Greenwood Industries as the roofi ng contractor. Wessling specifi ed Sika Sarnafi l as the manufacturer to provide both the liquid applied and PVC membrane roofi ng systems. Wessling's senior project manager, John Karman said, John Karman The existing roof systems on the 16-year-old arena had reached their serviceable life expectancy and re- quired replacement. The roof project began in August 2010 and was completed in November 2011. "Shawmut's extensive resources, in collaboration with Greenwood, Sika Sarnafi l, OMG Roofi ng Products, and United States Gypsum Co., resulted in a highly success- ful project." The PV system is a ground-mount- ed system comprised of 3,124 Canadian Solar 290w panels. The project also included installation of circuit combiner boxes, Satcon inverters, a data acquisition system with reporting capability. Broadway Renewable will furnish solar generated electricity under a Solar Power Purchase Agreement.
