Here are just a hand- ful of CPA's accomplishments over the past few months. JOHN MAZELIN NAMED CPA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The installation of John Mazelin, Vice President-Business Devel- opment for The B4B Alliance, headquartered in Louisville, KY, as CPA's Executive Director. This development is foremost, because Mazelin truly is the 'voice of contract packaging.' With more than 15 years in the contract packaging business, and having served on CPA's Board of Directors since 1997, Mazelin's experience will provide a guiding light for the CPA membership. "John's primary focus will be to continue to increase the value proposition of membership for aggressive growth and longevity of our members," said CPA Pres- ident Chris Nutley in announc- ing Mr. Mazelin's appointment. "John's contract packaging experience and expertise make him an ideal candidate for the position. I am extremely excited to add his focused horsepower to our efforts." Mazelin's responsibilities at the The B4B Alliance include overseeing business develop- ment across the Alliance, which includes Accu-tec, Inc., a con- tract packager; Mercury Logistics of Kentucky, a 3PL provider; and Shippers Supply Co, a supplier of packaging materials. Mazelin's tenure as CPA Exec- utive Director began January 1. STATE OF THE CONTRACT PACKAGING INDUSTRY REPORT CPA is pleased to announce the newest edition of the State of the Contract Packaging Industry Report. Because your knowledge will play a critical role in the up- coming 3rd edition of the report, CPA needs your help. By participating in a prelimi- nary survey, your expertise will provide the basis of the final report. You don't need to be a member to participate in the sur- vey, and it should take less than 30 minutes to complete. There is a process built in that allows you to start the survey, save your re- sponses and return later to com- plete and submit. The report will be published soon, so it is vital to participate now. Visit https:// today to take the survey. NIKKI JOHNSON ANNOUNCED AS CPA MEMBER COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR The CPA Board of Directors has selected Nikki Johnson as Member Communications Direc- tor of the association, effective immediately. As Member Com- munications Director, Johnson will oversee member research and communications to ensure that CPA delivers the desired educa- tional elements, industry informa- tion, and relationship-building pro- grams to the CPA membership. "Nikki's primary focus will be to serve as the voice of the mem- bership through direct member- ship contact," said CPA President Chris Nutley in announcing her appointment. She will be reaching-out to each member and getting feedback to help CPA better serve them. Johnson has more than 20 years of packag- ing industry experience including sales, marketing and business development roles with packag- ing equipment and supply firm ITW. She currently manages her own marketing services/consult- ing business based in St. Louis.
